First of all, is there bracket for another fan ?
You should call the Peugeot dealer near by and find out.
Assuming there is only one fan for 8 valve model.
Have you checked the coolant level ?
When was the last time you changed the LLC ?
Are there air in the water system ? If so, you need to take them out
by loosen the bleeder screws. Those are usually on the thermo housing
, heater hose and on the radiator. Make sure to fully open the heater
valve when you do that. This means turn the heater temp dial to max
hot. Please don't forget to add water after air bleeds are finished.
If those does not work for you, adding another fan might not be a bad
idea. But I think if the car was designed this way, should be OK.
My Mi16's water temp goes up to very near 100 c in the traffic, but
soon as the car start moving temp comes down slowly.
I don't know how high your water temp goes but my personal opinion
is Peugeot runs on the higher temp than other cars. For example,
thermo fully opens around 98c, fan does not start before 90 or so.
Good luck
